    Ah....my old home town....ayeeeee.....

I miss Cajun Country. Can't get decent Boudin or etoufee here in Lake Havasu. I sure don't miss the heat/humidity/mosquitoes.

Yea, your right. We've only had 30 straight days at or above 116deg.

We were cooking out here in May. 18 days over 100, but June and July were much cooler.

Yea, I used to just love it when it was 100deg out....and then it would rain. Fu$%me.....the steam would rise about 4 feet off the road...talk about miserable. You would never dry.....during the summer, if you went for a ride on your motorcycle, you couldn't go 60 miles in any direction without encountering rain...and I'm not talking about sprinkles....I'm talking rain of biblical proportions...fricking monsoon type rain....and 100deg.

You couldn't wash your car in the summer either....too humid. And those GD mosquitoes and gnats....yea, don't miss them either. Gators were kinda fun though...I do miss Louisiana Porch Puppies.

You forgot swarms of love bugs!
I once drove from Cameron to Lafayette via Freshwater City. The front of my car was completely, and I mean completely, covered in dead mosquitoes. I had to stop in Abbeyville to clean the car because the smell of cooking smushed skeeters was making me sick. The smell stayed for weeks.
