    RXP and Water Reducer

I remember reading but could not find the thread that the 07 RXP has a bigger water reducer than the 06 and before? My question is should you go to the bigger one if its available when you get an external IC and modify the exhaust? I didnt know if with the external IC heating the water more and would cause a heating issue with the exhaust.

I know the 08 RXP-Xs have a bigger reduser. It wont hurt to go bigger..it will just drop the pressure going throught the IC...I have run the smaller reduser on my stage 2 boat and have had no problems but am gonna try the bigger one..

The part number on the 08 reduser is-271001586

Technically speaking what's better for IC cooling purposes...more pressure or less?

Well IMO to much or to little pressure and it wont cool like it should. Its kinda a happy medium..I know a friend of mine i ride with has his drilled out as big as he can get it and has no problems..I have been running the OEM yellow one with no problems...SO im gonna try going 1mm bigger like the X boats are cause they are suppost to be equal to a stage 2 boat which i am running..Just something to tinker with..

Im running the washer out of the X with no ill effects. I figured since the hole got a bit bigger.... Volume would go up and pressure would decrease some.

I would not say the less pressure more GPM is better the Higher Pressure less GPM. The biggest change is in the Holeshot. before the High temp warning all the time then I Stepped drilled it two steps larger and no problem now.

How large is the one from the X and is that the green one? I think the yellow one is 8mm.

The green "X" restrictor hole is 1mm larger than the yellow one.
