    0 Compression in PTO Cylinder

Last time I went out my boat had some problems and kept stalling on me. Then it started to run kinda rough for about 15-20 seconds before it would stall again. I finally got around to checking the compression and i have 0 compression in the PTO Cylinder. Im going to take the head off and snap some pics to see how bad it really is, i couldnt see a hole when looking down the spark plug hole with a light.

    Pics

The first 3 pics are in order of:
    PTO....Center....Mag
The last 3 pics are of the PTO piston and cylinder.
Tell me how bad does it look since it has 0 psi compression?

May not look like it from the top but that piston is trashed. I would be looking for what caused this. Check the rear crank seal.

Well I guess I was wrong about thinking it was electrical related.

I guess your next step would be to just replace the entire top end with fresh components. Hopefully the crank bearings are fine. I think the ironic thing is, my boat was the one always having problems and the time mine is running great yours dies.

Don't worry, you'll have to up and running in no time.

What pistons do you suggest to buy? Any certain name? Getting it honed means i will need to buy pistons .025 oversized correct? When i get home tonight i will pull the rest apart to take a look if anything else is needed.
