    new rxt

Hi all, I have a new RXT with 12 hours. Last weekend I went to one our lakes here New Mexico. MY top speed according to my speedometer was 56 mph, at 7200 rpms. Conditions at the lake were smooth, no wind ,water temp about 80 degrees and air temp about 100 degrees. The lake altitude is 4 to 5 thousand feet. I weight about 190 lbs and my passenger was about 100 lbs. I had to put 88 octane from the marina ( thats all they had). This was my first time opening the ski up due to me having 10 hours on the ski. My question is at these conditions would this be normal for my ski to run this way? I know there would some difference but would it be this much?

Your RPM's and speed is very low. Even at the altitude you were the RPM's should have been around 8,000 and your speed should be between 63 and 65 MPH.Your wear ring should be okay with only 10 hours so you may have a clutch issue in the supercharger.

    Welcome Marcovit

56 mph? Take it back to the dealer. That is ridiculously slow, something is not right.

Nope, I used to put in 87 octane and it never ran so slow. Not even on the dremometer.
Maybe your dreamometer is bad? Have you GPS'd it?

I bet your nose cone came loose. Look in the intake and see if you have a piece of rubber hanging from the drive shaft.
