    Excessive Blow-By

I seem to get these random times of excessive blow-by. It's happened 3 times this season and usually after doing real long WOT, like maybe 20-25 minutes of a constant WOT on glassy water.

My catch can will have about 2-3 cups of oil/gas in it.

Everything I read about excessive blow by on the internet looks scary. Talking about rods, pins ,pistons etc.

Should I be worried about this? Anything I could add or do to fix it.
Maybe do a compression test ?

Do a leak down test. This will tell you more about the engine and its condition.

Curious....Is it ok to be WOT for that long? I get a little worried keeping it WOT for too long, dont know why I do though.

    Kinch,

Try that for starters.....They should be relatively close and don't have to be the exact same......

glad but not glad to hear that.
I've read where it's not much of an issue if your running ok. I think it's mainly gas and it's not enough to mess up my gas mileage.

Can this be used for a compression test

brian... me vic and laura ran our RXTs wide open for MILES... i'm talking 5 miles at a time without putting slack in the throttle... then we let it "slow" down and cruise to 7500 rpms ... then right back at it to 8k+

did this for 190 miles and i loved every single second of beating the living crap outta that throttle and motor

romp on that thing and never look back
