    Octane boost in needy times...question

Seriously, I would never consider it except for this situation...and I'll narrow it down to this. Regular unleaded only available on the water. I go with a full tank and if I want to ride longer then is octane boost a possibility for one tank?

Just leisure riding, not expecting performance but definitely don't want any issues with the ski. It's a RXP-X. If octane boost is okay for this situation then what kind?

Thanks - heading out on the water tomorrow morning.

Have you not seen the big discussion/ arguement we have had for the last couple of days on this? If running 88 octane rather than 87 octane makes you feel better then spend the $6. Know either way the ski will still have to retard the timing to compensate.http://greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=67311

not worth the trouble in my opinion. if the booster claims to raise octane 4 points, you how have 87.4 octane, not gonna make much difference.

The best I found in my search claimed 15 points. 87 + $7 can of booster = 88.5.

Got any facts or data to back that up cause I love charts and graphs. Here, got a nice one for you.

It didn't post. I see 15 points or 1.5 octane. It's main ingredient is MMT which is devestating on plugs and fuel lines.
