    Hot Tach Ii

    Just testing the water here.

What would a fair price be for a HOT TACH II EGT w/ PROBES in excellent working condition. (less than 20 hours fresh water use)

    Ha ha,, Wayne,

I just knew you would see this ad.
As it said, I was just trying to get a price of it's value for now.

BTW: I am sure you are aware of the type of connectors which those Hot Tach probes plug into the back of the gauge.... Do any of the [thinner] probes you were talking about have the same "rubber plug" connection ?
I really dont want to splice anything.

The probes, metal jacketed wires and gauge are in almost new condition. They are the longer metal jacketed wires so they will fit an XPL (or HX) just fine being routed through the hood.

No, they don't but that doesn't look like a difficult thing to handle to me. I have probes, so i know the jacket can be cut if need be. could probably get the connectors for it from one of the companies. i doubt they came up with their own connector at EGT/RacePak. never looked for them though.

If you are still interested in selling please let me know. I could really use a way on monitoring my EGTs on my new 1050cc engine

J&J, no piece of fancy monitoring equipment will keep an engine safe. in order to know what temp your engine runs at while performing you have to tune, run, tune again. plug color is the only real way to assess engine running, EGT is just a reference you establish *following* the plugs.

some people run best at 1050 and some people run best at 1300......you can't really tune with an EGT, you'll just go bonkers.
