03 GTX leaking water
I have an 03 seadoo gtx and I replaced rubber gasket and o-rings and carbon fiber rings on driveshaft but still leaks. Checked waterbox but no visable damage on waterbox. No damage to hull, leak seams to be coming from carbon ring area. Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this?

If it the carbon seal was changed properly it should not leak. Do u have aftermarket exhaust? Mine is leaking a bit from it I believe....Do u have aftermarket sponson?....Mine leaked from there once too...

In the past, some have recommended draining the water while the ski is on the trailer, strapping the ski down, and backing the ski into the water while still secured to the trailer both bow and stern. Start the ski and look for leaks with a flashlight. Hope this helps... Ron

tilt your ski up on the trailer , fill up the hull above the driveshaft, and look where the water is leaking from. you can crawl under the ski while its on the trailer to confirm if its a sponson leak, driveshaft leak, exhaust outlet leak, etc.
if it doenst leak at all, then start the ski and see if it leaks while at idle.
then blip the throttle a few times to see if it leaks at higher rpms.
how did you know it was the driveshaft boot???
was the old carbon ring worn in an oval shape? or al chewed up?
or was the old accordion boot to brittle and not putting enough pressure against the carbon ring assembly?
could be your engine is not aligned properly, so the driveshaft is keeping the carbon ring assembly crooked and not sealing correctly. then the old carbon ring would be worn at an angle or oval shaped wear.
could also be a bent drive shaft that is oscilating causing carbon ring assembly seal to woble and lose its seal.
have you seen water leaking inside the hull from the carbon ring area?
or is it a very slow leak that you cannot find, and only floods the ski when its not running, like if you let it sit a few hours in the water.
is it a fast leak or a slow leak?

could also be really simple, like you forgot to put in the Cclip that holds the SS ring in place, or your new accordion boot isnt far enough forward to put adequate pressure on the carbon seal.
