Hoping to join the 80mph club...LH Ported 1390

Perfect timing on the new sub-forum. My new top end just came back from Lowell. I was lucky that he had an extra set of 1200 cylinders and head, so we are doing a trade for my stock parts. This way I have had a running ski to use. I don't have near the experience with this type of build as the gurus on the forum so I've enlisted the expertise of a professional. I will however be present while he does the work so I can try and learn as much as possible and also get some pictures to document the build. Currently, the ski is an 07 Riva stage 2 GPR running about 71. The planning on this project started back in April with a 75mph target, but after spending many hours doing research on this forum the list of mods has gotten a lot longer. Here's a list of mods that it will have over the next few weeks:

    07 Ported BB EFI
Gas operated PV's (possible since I'm using the 1200 top end)
Stock head milled for 150 comp. (replacing Riva 1300 heads)
    VF3's
    3 deg key
    jetworks
R&D race filter (replacing riva power filter)
    Lightweight flywheel(not sure of brand)
    Converted to Pre-mix
    D-plate opened up
    hull-reinforcement 305coco
    1200 grate
    Modded Riva plate
    Riva efi
Additional intake vents in storage bucket, lid, and under fairing (already done)
    stock sound suppression
    PPK & sealed pump
    DF repitched to 14/24
    Shimmed stock metal tabs
Prp-Taper Henry Reed bars (already done)
    UMI angle pull throttle trigger
    Seat cover

    Next Steps:
Gold fairings replaced with 08 blue
    50th anniversary graphics from Exotic
    Hull trued and repainted
    305coco's grab handle

I grew up working on dirt bikes and cars, but as I mentioned I am fairly new to jet skis and 2-stroke performance tuning. Hopefully the posts from my project will help guys like me a year back when I first got involved in the sport and immediately wanted to go faster. Ultimately my goal is to have a fairly reliable 78-80mph boat with sick acceleration.

Sounds great! Take the sound suppression out in trade for a free flow tube.

Sounds like you have the list covered, except, if you want the truly sick accelleration, and another 40-50 rpms, lose the race filter and get my ported sonic boom throttle bodies. Feel free to call me anytime if you would like to know more... 813 690 8373

+1 you need it with the higher comp. head to prevent detonation.
