    GPRXP Conversion Shimming Database

For those of you who are willing to share this info, please do.

What grate, plate, tabs are you running?

How much is each shimmed in the front and back?

What are the results and is the hull dialed in?

Is your setup for flat water riding mostly or rough conditions?

Where is your battery located? (In the front, stock battery bucket, or on one side in the rear of the ski?)

The reason for posting this as opposed to following already noted GPR results is that from my limited experience, I strongly believe the GPRXP requires different shimming. I also realize each hull is different, but I think we can learn a few things from each other or atleast get some baseline angles to try.

+1 on differences in the GPRXP and the GPR

My R&D rideplate is angled at 1"

My R&D cut tabs are (as of now) spaced with two washers for about 3.5mm, I removed one (from the original three) and picked up 1+ mph top speed and 50-100 rpms! Same day tests only about 30 minutes apart...and no perceived loss of handling.

Each hull is different and the setup changes with every MPH. The database would be huge and not usable. At least 4 different thickness in tabs, all rideplates are set different and vary from plate to plate, hulls have over 30 thous diff between years, etc.,etc..

Start with a sealed pumpshoe set at .070 (give or take a few) and start experimenting from that. The shoe must be square in the hull and all the way back IMO. Its the backbone of the GPR platform.
