    Help! Ride plate inserts...

I spun the ride plate inserts on my 03' GP1300 (Big surprise, eh) I'm trying desperately to find any dealer in the states willing to ship them to me overnight for sat delivery tomorrow. can't find them anywhere from indianapolis to milwaukee. I'm in Chicago and really need to find these today if possible. If anybody knows of a dealer or private that would have these on hand please respond. I am looking for the 04' and up inserts that won't spin. I also need a bolt for my impeller housing, yamaha part # 90119-06859-00, it's the little one and i snapped it, DOH!
    Thanks in advance.

You want the brackes for an 05+ ski. I dont think you will find a dealer with them in stock.

For the bolt just match it up @ a hardware store. Most are 1.25 pitch.

If you had to do something for the weekend. You could take some bar stock and drill/tap it to make your own bracket.

Other choice is to have someone hold the insert with channel locks while you tighten it down.

Can I just set them with silicone temporarily so when i get the brackets they are easier to remove? I'm assuming I have to seal them to the hull in some fashion. Also, if i were to use bar stock, that would also have to be sealed in some way right? sorry if these are dumb questions, i'm pretty new but good with my hands and tools so i just want to do this right. i would go the bar stock route as i have raw material laying around and it seems like a more permanent fix.

See the last page on this thread - you will see an example of the stock on the pump shoe. Same principle applies to the ride plate.

Seal it up with some 5200 or Black RTV (5200 is better).

one more quick question, is aluminum stock better for this than steel? it looks like alum in the picture from that post.

5200 will cure under water. You will be fine if you let it set overnight.
