Blow off block off RPM issue

Hello everyone, I have an 07 Ultra 250. I just added the R&D Wedge and block off for the blow off. I ordered the parts form Green Hulk and service and delivery were top notch. These are the only mods to this machine so far. I realy like the wedge for the drier and slightly more nimble ride.

I have a question about the block off. Before the block off when I mashed on the throtle the RPM would rise consistantly and level out at 7600 to 7700 RPM. Now with the blow off removed and the block off plated when I open it up from a dead stop or from 1300 RPM it shoots up to 8500 rpm then it feels like a little kick and drops down to 7800 to 7900 RPM. I am concerned about the rpm spike and fall is this normal or I am in trouble here. As per the factory boost guage I have gained 2 lbs of boost looks like I had 10 now 12lbs @ 7900 RPM.

The blockoff plate didnt cause that, sounds like cavitation or something else.

+1, check your pump clearances, they need to be virgin tight.

rpms and boost are about right.

the pair of block off plates only do EGR.

you need the BOV block off plates, these ones help with the low boost issue.
if your BOV is leaking, 95% of them have all been leaking.

sorry, didnt clarify.. It was the BOV blockoff from r rated.... replaced the existing bov on the back of the I/C..... and nothing different.
