    Reed Question

Other than by inspection, what are the signs the reeds are failing?

blow back thru the carbs can be a sign but inspection is key!

When you have blow back through the carbs you will get gas spitting up into the f/a's. A good way to check is to take off the f/a's or stock intake, start the ski. Now look to see if you have any gas spitting out at idle or when you snap the throttle. A little is ok, but there is a diff. Also when running at idle put your hand over each carb and kinda choke them out. You should feel a great deal of suction but NO air pushing your hand off the carbs. Usually a sign of blow back would be really wet F/a's.

Anytime Z. But dont thank me, these are fine words out of the mouths of Mark (bigraider) and jason (Jdog800). I recently had some reed trouble and without them i would be stuck in the mud still. Thanks to all.
