Kawasaki X2 questions, New turf? help

    Hello All ,

I have a new ski in my collection of 2 :P

Its a X2, it reminds me of my old dirtbike With the handelbars not moving like a normal jet ski.

But i found somekind of pump thing attatched to the engine ? Is that needed for starting ore something ? How do you guys start a 650 engine ?

Does any one have a manual for me ?

    Thanks ,

    Lars

It is actually a crankcase drain, used for when the engine gets water in it from turning the ski over. Most people remove them and block them off with a kit. If they dont seal properly, air can enter and lean the engine out causing damage.

My fitting is oke, i have adjusted the carb ( rebuild ) The LS jet needs to be 1 1\8 out and the HS 5\8 stroke out. I have got the X2 in the water and it runs smooth! only need to adjust the LS a bit.

    A NOTHER QUESTION!

Were can i buy new "turf" for my ski, i want to re do my rubbers. ( where you stand on ).

    Thanks'

They sell kits for the X2 or you can buy a roll of bulk material and cut it to fit yourself.
Here is one of their old kits on my X2...

You can install a case drain block-off without removing the engine. Take off the pipe and starter and you can feel your way no problem.
