    Slippery Switch PFD photo request

Couldn't work out what section to ask this in, so Yamaha general section it is (since i have a Yamaha :P)

I'm from Australia and Slippery does not import their Switch PFD's. I was going to get one from over in the US and put a "fake" Australian standards sticker/print/something on it so i can use it over here and not get in trouble.

I was wondering is someone can give me a picture of the inside of the jacket where it has all the information so i can see weather it can be done or not.

    Thanks

Here it is...but it isn't a 'tag'. What you see is printed right on the inside of the back panel.

Thanks for that Rocky_Road. Maybe just leave everything as it is and add the Aus. Standard logo and [/b]Type II PFD[/b] up the top in big letters.

Has anyone tried iron-on stuff for PFD's?

    Nope...and wouldn't want to, on a $100 vest!

Be safer to have a stamp made, and use some sort of permanent ink.

Do they make you take the vest off, and show you the labels?

get an iron on from a t-shirt making store and you can iron it on with a steam iron. I have seen people iron on silk. I bet the life jacket material is more sturdy than silk.

I thought they wouldn't, but they did the other day (I was wearing the correct jacket). I just wish slippery would import them, but apparently there a heap of hoops to jump through and a (massive) fee per year for every type of vest they want the Aus. Standards on, so they only bring in certain types...stupid government.

That's what i'm thinking, just a little worried it might rub off. Was originally thinking about covering the original label, but might work with just the extra info and in BIG writing
