    Cool loose spark plugs

    just cleaned and flushed the green monster and gave her the once over oil ck ect...and found two spark plugs loose , i ck the plugs because on yesterdays 40 mile ride , she studdered once , any one else found loose plugs . also what are the best top of the line plugs looking to replace these. thanks dave.

    Were these torqued during installation?

    Most plugs use a compression washer (gasket), that are not designed to be reused if the plugs are removed, and then put back. If the plugs are removed, and then reinstalled, even torqueing them to the proper spec will not guarantee a proper seal.

    If I ever take my plugs out, for any reason, they get replaced with new!

    Make sure engine is cold before removing or installing.

    Right on that one!

    I also use a small amount of anti-seize on the threads...not too much to affect the torqueing.

    He is doing well. I am a bad influence some days. Dave has made great strides battling his addiction.

    That's one reason that I ride a 4 stroker, with a closed loop cooling system!

    I have a good excuse to always carry some antifreeze....
