Polaris Virage TXI
I need help from some experts on watercraft problems. I have a 2004 Polaris Virage TXI , which has low hours(about30). When we ride for a long period of time (1 1/2 hours )the engine will just die like the spark is gone. It will start right back up , but will die again in about 100 yds or less. What should I check for first and what could be the problem? Any help would be great. Thanks THBcookieman

Welcome to the Hulk!
You sure about the model and year of your Virage?
I though 2002 was the last year for the Virage TXi model.
Check the last two digits on the HIN number plate on the rear deck. '02' = 2002
Two or three cylinder engine?
When the problem occurs, if you start it and just let it idle (in the water), will it continue to idle for many minutes?
Any warnings or red lamp on the MFI display?
When the problem occurs, will it start and immediately run OK at full power, but not at part throttle?
You can download various Polaris Service Manuals from here.
Any other service history or related information you can give us?
What spark plugs are in it?
Should be NGK brand PZFR6H, no substitutions allowed.

Install a fuel pressure gauge and see if your'e losing fuel pressure.
Install an inline spark tester and see if you lose spark.
How hot or cool are the cylinders when it shuts down?
