? for electricians; Would this meet code?

First time they cut the power off just get some jumpers. Next time, they cut the wires. Fix the wires. Then they really do some cutting. It's all about the service panel though. I swear this was live with the jumpers, splice job and service panel till they cut the wires real good.

I think you need a cover on the bell solenoid, someone may get shocked. Other than that it all looks up to code. WTF? LOL

That bell is extremely loud. Not going to get arrested, Panama. Just pay someone off. First time the meter reader figured out the meter box was straight wired had to give him $50 to go away till the next month.

Just to clarify, the wires with the clear packaging tape covered by electrical tape were the wires that run from the pole to the meter box.

Notice the brown lamp wire coming out of the serice panel and going up the wall.

Concrete block does not burn. The do not use flammable materials here to build. Steel and concrete. Too many termites.

Not hard to figure out when there is no meter and the a/c's are running. It had a plastic cover on the lid that I removed for the picture.

If you actually paid your power bill, what would the cost be?
