    Part Identification.....throttle linkeage

    Useless Info:
I have a 98 XP and this is the first carb cleaning. Last week I took the carbs off to clean the filters, replaced the fuel lines, repaired the fuel baffle, replaced the vts box, unfroze the choke cable, cleaned the RAVEs, changed the pump oil, fixed the speedometer, and now I'm finally putting the carbs back on.....

    Problem:
The throttle linkeage goes to the carb, but there is also some additional throttle linkeage that continues from the carb to the back of the motor (I assume back of the motor is closest to the front of the boat). What is this and what does it do? I can adjust ?this? linkeage so that it is fully closed when the carb throttle is closed, but when the carb is WOT ?this? is not fully open (with my hand I can push ?this? open more). I took the carb off over a week ago and I can't remember how ?this? linkeage was originally.

Yes it's the oil pump cable. Front of ski = front of engine though, BTW.

    ahh, the oil pump.
I'm kinda new to PWC motors, so i'm still ignorant about alot of stuff.

Search feature says there should be some markings that you align to tune the pump at idle........thanks for the replies.
