2mph & 100rpm for $25
My first post didn't make so this one will be a little shorter.
Indexing plugs is worth about 10 - 20 rpms.
Pulling the slack out of the trottle cable is worth 80 - 90 rpms.
Rpms from 6970 to 7080.
Speed from 60 to 62 mph gps.
Started with full tank of gas.
R&D grate & plate shimed down with 1 washer to control ride, need to add 1 more washer.
Riva trim tabs.
Weather was a hot 95deg.
Rider 230lbs & old.
I managed to find some calm water to test on.
More testing to be done soon.

Welcome to GH.Looks like you have found some more speed in your throttle cable and setup.Keep up the good work.

I shimmed my plate down in the back to control porpoising. I just changed the shim from .030 to .070.
I am going to fill the holes in the shoe & grate next.
At the lake I will do some trimming to get some more air into the hull.
I may have to shim the trim tabs down. I have Riva tabs shoud these be shimmed down?

did some more testing
I did this a few days ago.
I lowered the back of the ride plate some more and crued the porpoising. I filled the holes in the pump shoe & intake grate.
The weather was a little cooler low 80s.
Had about 3/4 tank of fuel.
I used the peak speed feature of the gps unit this time so my test method changed a little. I am using an old Cobra gps500 and it stinks.
The peak rpm is more consistant after adjusting the throttle cable for wot. RPM peaked at 7110 & peak speed was 62.6 but I'm not sure I trust that gps unit.
I did this today.
I opened up the hull to get a little extra air flow by cutting away some plastic on the right side.
The weather was cooler still mid to low 70s.
3/4 tank of fuel.
The motor was a little cooler than the previous tests.
Peak RPM was 7180 to 7190.
I did not get any speeds, the lake was too rough. That and I got hurt jumping wakes. Don't jump with metal framed glasses.
This thing is getting faster!
