    Pump Wedge Question

I am concidering adding a pump wedge but here is my question. My RXP with stock nozzle currently runs the most RPM and speed with the trim set at 3/4 or a couple ticks below full up trim.

Now if I add a pump wedge is this not going backwards meaning I will be trimmed up more all the time or is the pump angle different from just trimming the nozzle?

I do understand that a longer rod is necessary with the wedge to get full down trim again, however I don't understand the concept of going higher if I am already faster with less then full trim now.

The pump wedge is going to alter your trim angle with much a much smother flow than just trimming sterring nozzle. That is part of the benefit, I'm sure.
