    99 XL 1200 limited

    impeller change....am I right in saying that the drive shaft unscrews from the impeller,if so..which way does it loosen? The ski seems to have a stripped shaft and coupler on the enging end..

    Use lots of heat.... reverse threads.... the impeller unscrews from the shaft... so lock the spline tool into a vise and you will turn the impeller clockwise (if the pump is away from you) seams like your tightening but its reverse threads... but the key is to heat that b1tch up...
