Another game of what is dis

On the throttle body... I can't find this port on any schematic; what is it? Should this be connected to something, is it not a huge boost leak the way it is?

It's like that on my Boat too!! WTF!! I'm gone down and Cap it off right now!

Hey VX1, maybe that is the source of your low Boost readings on all your SC's you've had?

    yeah like JTskier11 said

there should be a little black hose that goes connected with lube ..

i think the purpose of this is to keep the throtel butterfly lubricated .other wise if its not lubricated it could stay stuck at wot

sorry to hijack, but could this be used for testing boost pressure?
And how would it compare to sensor at top of intake or at manifold end cap?
What i want to know is would it be accurate?

I would think the port would be way too small to be accurate, Steve.

It is true that I've always been a good 1 psi below where I should be for any SC setup I've had (despite completely resealing everything many times), so I hope the answer is as easy this, but I've never seen that piece on my engine, and look at this pic inside the throttle body, there seems to be no hole at all, I can't feel one on the other side either. Could this just be a plug, or am I missing where the hole is?

So we agree that there is a hole on the other side of that thing? I tried to poke a thin wire though, but it never found a hole.

Glad your on tonight, Gord; I'm about to do a dissertation about my thru-hull on the boat forum, and you're exhibit A.
