    Port off the throttle body?

Does any boater have a hose off this port on the 4-tec throttle body, or is it naked like mine? I think they added this in either '06 or '07 to lube thottle butterfly, but it seems to me that it's always been naked on mine, and could be the reason I've always been fighting about a 1 psi boost loss to another comparable setup on a ski. Here's a thread where we were discussing it on 4-tec performance: http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...541#post751541

Even though I said in the 4-Tec Thread, I'll add it here for the others.

Mine was bare & exposed like yours Scott, I went down to my shop and threw a Vacuum Cap & Zip Tie on it as soon as I saw your post.

I think that might be your source of low boost.

Hell, it won't hurt anything from capping it off, can only help.

Not sure about the boats, but that was added to the ski's in 06 to lube the throttle body. Complete it should have a tube coming up to a cap on the plastic motor cover. I'd just cap it off... surely its not helping your performance open!

Yes, I'm really getting the feeling that for the early production units for the '07 models, the BRP line workers were unaware that new port needed a tube or cap. There is nothing attached to it in the '07 parts schematic, but the '08 shows the correct lube tube attached to it. I can't believe I've been chasing the perfect speed setup for so long, and have always been at a disadvantage because of this.

I'm interested to see if you're gonna see any gains on GPS next time you are out. Or even on the Boost Gauge.

Nooo, it's for the Oil Injection that our Boats DON'T HAVE!! Woo Hoo!!

...on a side note, dunno how True that will be in a Year or 2 with rumors of BRP bringing the E-Tec's to the PWC (and prob. Jet Boat) Lineup.
