    Talking 97' pro 785 cooling

wondering if diagram out of the manual is correct for plumbing the 97' pro?

i had heard that you need to install one way valves somewhere, so water does not enter the engine. if so where? and what size valve. also i deleted oil injection, what ratio seems to work best with stock jetting? the guy i am rebuilding this thing for knows nothing, and i dont want him to have any troubles.

    thanks

Search for 785 water routing, there's a lot of info. Hopefully somebody chimes in though. Another question, where can I get the valve from and what pressure should it be set at?

1999 is the preferred routing or the Watcon routing.

i want to make sure i understand this! referencing watcons diagram:
remove t-stat, install jetworks valve b-4 4-way split(what size, setup of valve etc...). refering to the key of different size orifices, is that what they are or what they need to be? are you just tapping those fittings and using jets or what? help me understand how u are coming up with those sizes

the fittings are used are all your stock fittings just check them to be sure also yes put the jetworks valve before the cross. and drill and tap your water bar and add a fitting .

The stinger restrictors I had in my 97 parts had larger drill sizes than Randy suggested, but also had a restrictor on the inlet of the cross fitting. I drilled out the cross inlet fitting, and tapped the outlet fittings. I used brass johnny bolts (toilet anchor bolts) to thread into the newly tapped fittings, and drilled the proper size into the bolt, and deleted the inline restrictors. The bolt pieces I used were cut to a 1/2 inch long.

I also, like beerdart, used a ball valve at the outlet of the water manifold to feed the stinger circuit. Can be closed for towing to keep from flooding the exhaust and possible water ingestion into the engine.
