    Drag Races

Ok I went to the Cowtown Drag Races Last Weekend. Ran my RXP. Was very upset with my speeds. Everyone says I was luck to get what I did witht the weather and water temp.

Air temp on the line 108
    Water Temp 98
    Humidity was 73

It was bad!!! My best run was 77mph. Most of my runs were in the 73-75mph. I know my RXP is not 100% yet but I though I should have had a little better top speed.

I ran against 2 Pro mod boats and put them on the Trailer!!! Went six rounds in the Second chance heats.

It is a standing still start, and it is a quarter mile run. I have a stage three plus on my rxp. It was a lot of fun. They give you your time sheet after your run and it tells you everything about the run.

    0-600 feet time/ speed

I learned a lot about how GPS are not even close to real speed. My gps said I was running 83 mph all weekend.

Umm, so your ski takes longer than a quarter mile to reach top speed...

No, Just that GPS is not always right. I just think the conditions were so bad that it did not run well at all. There was kinda a twin to my rxp and he was running the same speeds. Just way way toooo hot. Plus they made us stage on a road....

serious the water temp was 98? This a lake or just a pond? Thats insane! No wonder your ski was not running good... it was not able to cool the intake charge very well due to the super hot water!

It was in a large pond/ very small lake. This time of year in Texas all the lakes are hot. I cant wait to get some cool air and water to see what my RXP will really do. Might take it with me to Havasu
