    Removing fading/whiting out on Hood???

I have a 96 SPX that I picked up from a friend a short while back - I believe it spent its fair share of days outside. The hood is yellow, but shows a bit of fading/whiting out - almost like oxidation, but I didn't think the hoods would oxidize - anyway, any way of bringing this back a bit??

I know I can't get it back to the original shine, but I am trying to clean the ski up a bit as my son will be taking it over next month when he hits 14.

My buddy has the same problem and he uses a scotch bright pad and a light cleaning agent. You don't want to use a harsh cleaner - that will dry up the plastic parts and make them fade out.

I have a 95 SPX, its light blue. I tried different things, but in the end I cleaned it really good with alcohol, use scotbrite pad to rough it up a bit and just painted it, and to be honest... it looks freaking good! been over 3 months since I did it, and its been washed a few times with no color lost, chipping or peeling
