The 900zxi and 1100zxi are the same hull so the fix is the same.

Thanks for the information,I will start with the ride plate. Is the stock plate adjustable or should it be trashed and go with an aftermarket??

There is no adjustment with the stock ride plate.

Actually, I am still searching for parts to solve my porposing (bouncing) problem. Everyone says ride plate or Sponsons, but when I called R&D about a ride plate they asked if my 1100zxi was 98-up. I asked them what that mattered and they said that the newer zxi's have the updated ride plate that Kawasaki copied from their ride plate.

Therefore, I didn't want to just waste the money on basically a same plate. I bought a R&D intake grate already and looking for Worx sponsons. I'll try to keep it posted.

I was thinking if weight distribution plays such a part on a jet ski,why not just add some weight up in the front of the hull? Doe's this sound feasible to help control a porpoising problem?

Yes, that does help the porpoising but it will cost you some top end speed.

Often when I am riding mine and it starts to bounce, I will scoot all the way to the front of the seat and lean forward. This pushes the nose into the water and will normally cause her to settle down.

Putting the trim in more of a down position will also help. But, like I mentioned, the more the nose of the ski is in the water, the more speed it will cost you.

The porpoising has become such a problem at this point I would be willing to sacrifice some speed to have a smoother ride.Being that this is a stock ski I am surprised at the way it rides.I will top off the tank and add some weight this weekend and see how it runs.
