Well, hopefully South Florida will take one for the team.
10 storms in 14 months for the great state of Florida...at least we have'nt had any fires.
On a good note, they are going to be busing in some NOLA looters immediately after Wilma passes the south coast. They seem to have had a lot of free time since Katrina.

Just as long as that thing stays South of here...I just got done helping my parents renovate (translation rip out and replace) everything between the first floor and second floor of their river place...
I'd be super pissed if this thing came through and flooded it again (or worse yet destroyed it)...I'd no longer have a nice deck to sit on and drink beer in between jet-ski rides (or in my current state after knee and foot surgery)...

The worse thing about this one is that if she hits where they predict(between Ft Myers and Naples) that will put the worlds best mangrove trails in Estero Bay in danger.
I'm under a mandatory evacuation as of noon today but I ain't going.
It's way to early to call this one yet.

Boris...get your plywood cut and install them with plylox. Get your food and water ready. Your power will probably be down for a day or 2..this will land as a weak Kitty 2 or Cat. 1, but still enought to knock power out and mess up streets with debris.

We'll feel it all the way to the SE coast, no matter how manny kitties it carries. We will be in lockdown no powe for a couple of days for sure. Katrina was 5 days with no power and it was just 1 pussy, er I mean kitty.

I'm ready to get the hell out of here if need be but I think this one won't be too bad. As long as there isn't much of a storm surge I'll be all good.
"Wilma" (in a Fred Flintstone voice banging on the door)

Well, since I'm right in the path and on the water I not only boarded up but also moved all my furniture/clothes/documents/pictures,.... to higher ground.
I love the echo in an empty place.
Now the wife wants to get the heck out so it's road trip time.
might go up to Destin and ride that mega fast beast with the "princess" handle bar cover.
