    rpm's and dreamo meter right?

    took it out today about 99 degrees outside and 95 water temp it was freakin like glass never seen a lake this calm felt like i was flying but anywayz hit 8100 on rpm and never showed over 70 on dreamo meter i know its not accurate at all but it would hit 70 and 7850 without the prop and wedge and green water box so just wondering what you guys think oh yea its a 04 rxp with stage1 and thru hull with green box.

    Im pretty sure the rpms are okay but the speedometer is garbage, look at the back of you ski and next to i think is your port side drain plug you will see plastic block prtruding off the backa nd a spinning wheel attached, that wheel measures your speed.
    Modern Engineering dont ya think?

    Gps Chipset are cheap...

    Hope 09 model will include Gps Based Speedometer ..

    And remove those inacurate magnetic wheel .. at rear !

    I think they all stop at either 69 or 70 mine stops at 70. they just do not go past that point if yer going 71 or 91. GPS is what ya got ta get.

    Do Yamaha's and other skis have this same problem? I think it is part of the unwritten agreement between PWC manufacturers and the USCG to keep the speeds of these skis controlled. The magic number for the USCG seems to be 70 mph. If the speedo never goes above 70 then did the ski rally go faster than that?

    The stock speedos top out at either 69 or 70 mph cepending on batch I guess, but this is a common occurance.

    It's funny seeing you guys talk about topping out the speedo, and knowing I'll never have to worry about that...

    i really need to get a gps yesterday would have been a great day to test
