Have fun, dump a little extra oil in the tank for the first run through, to help break in the motor...Run it RICH too...Just for the first hour, then dial things back as you increase hours...

    HAVE FUN,report back with pictures!

Well guys, ran it for a few hours today, its bogging down on the low end ... 95 lows, 2.3 needle & seat (stock spring), and 170 mains ..... mains are 1/4 turn out (turns 6800rpm with a solas 15/20 concord on it) , lows are about 1 turn out .....

Also, it seems like my rave valves are opening late? they dont open til about 5500rpm or so .... is that where they are supposed to open?

When I adjusted mine on my old 99 GSXL, I had 2 full threads showing when I dialed in the red screws on the caps...

but I would make them flush with the top, and slowly dial them down half a turn...do a blast from stop to WOT...then half turn....until you get the just right...

the raves on my 98 gsxl open at about 4500. My red caps appear to be screwed all the way in.

i rebuilt the carbs with oem kits and installed 2.3 NS, 85 LS and 167.5 HS with prok filters. My accellerator pump is functional. LS jet screws are 1.5 turns out. HS screws are set at 0.

You must not be using your accellerator pump if you're using a 95 LS jets?

If you're still using the acell pump and have 95 LS jets... that's probably your low speed bogging problem... too much gas.

Are you using the oil injection or premixing or both?

    +1 on the fuel issue.

??? on the RAVE rpm opening though? If screwed all the way in, this position restricts the RAVE opening until max rpm, usually around 6k. If opening as you say somebody has snipped the springs.

Get you caburetion right first, then mess with the RAVES last.
