04 gpr new problem, not running right

i got my 04 1300 back together yesterday and got to take it for a water test today, here is my problem:

the ski runs fine on the hose, cool enough i can hold my hand to pretty much anywhere on the motor. when i got it in the water today i let it idle outside the no wake zone and then eased into it till it got on plane (~25-30mph) rode like that for 30 or so seconds idled back down and took the seat off to check for anything unusual. i noticed probably 2-3 inches of water in the bottom and the engine was too hot to even touch. total running time was justa few minutes. no water was coming out of either pisser and the exhaust seemed louder so there probably wasnt any water in there either. i plan on getting into it tomorrow but im going to start with the hose going to the back of the hull. what else could be my problem, i dont think its serious just a blocked hose or a tear in the hose or something. when i run it on the trailor there seems to always be a little bit of water in the hull, and water doesnt come out of the right pisser unless i give it a quick rev. all other water exits have what i believe to be plenty of flow. i just need some greenhulk pros to come to my rescue

By chance do you have a Riva High flow strainer in the pump?
