GP1300r Riva Stage I kit????
I have a 2007 yamaha GP1300R with 20 hours on it. I've been looking at performance parts to begin a small winter project for next summer. I keep looking at the Riva stage I kit but i dont know its worth the money or if theres some better companies like R&D and Skat Trak for impellers. Its the first the time i'll be working on a waverunner so i don"t want to go to crazy with installing or rebuilding stuff for now.

Tunnel Reinforcement Kit
Pump Plug Kit
Ride Plate plenty to choose from.
What type of riding and what do you want out of the ski.

tunnel reinforcement will keep you from sinking one day
intate grate.. stock will kill you soon
ppk... good mod and cavitation is greatly reduced from this
ride plate... as mike says have a good search on forum and pick one suited to you riding conditions

I am really looking for good accelleration and i like riding canals so i'm also looking for a ride for turns but also for when we go out into the bay and ocean. A nice versatile set up.

so you want the best of all worlds rolled into one
have a read up and search on some of the old set ups posted about,
most of all read up on mikes list and start there, there is no way i would ride with a stock grate let alone in tight turns at speed

i just looked at the Riva pump seal kit, intake grate and ride plate. I like accleration and turns. It can get boring going straight all the time

Agree with Paul get ridd of the that grate ASAP.
Also i would go with a custom ride plate done by Jim or Carl over the RIVA plate.
To make your choices simple if you ride allot in ocean and rough water the stock plate is hard to beat but not a speed gain.
If you ride mostly carm water and some ocean riding then 110% custom plate
Me i would go custom plate i have been able to fine 2 x sweet spots for general riding and speed runs and rough water or ocean riding.
Use the search feature you will found tonnes off info.

Trim tabs, sponsons, and the power filter are NOT needed in this Riva stage 1 kit and are a waste of money.
