    Do you need a license for drive a jetski

    All you need to have is whatever is required by the state you live in. That was the latest info I know on that topic. I hope it didn't change. I'm heading that way next week.

    nj has one of the strickest laws for jetski's. so ur nj boating safety cert will do just fine almost anywhere

    It's too late now, but I was in MD and wondered if my 14 year old could ride my ski without having to take a test. Sorry for not being clear, but thanks anyway.

    In MD I believe it 1985 anyone born after that needs a course. but I'll check and make sure. I know the NJ police are real tools. I got sited about my numbers being too close not having flares and not having a NJ safety course. None of these are an issue in MD

    Dave, No.

    MD requires a min. age of 16 for PWC. also, if born after 1972 a certificate is needed.
