VTS Trim Rod to Steering nozzle bolt (98 GSXL)

    Hey,

Anybody know what the size of the bolt is that gets put into the end of the VTS trim rod through the steering nozzle? Its like 4 dollars to order this bolt from the dealer and i'd prefer the 50 cent home depot replacement if possible.

    Thanks

you could take the rod off and take it with you to match up the right one.

Are you talking about the "bolt" that screws through the steering nozzle and into the plastic trim rod elbow? It holds the elbow to the steering nozzle. That one?

It's actually not a bolt. It's a coarse threaded screw with an 8mm "bolt like" head.

Hmm sounds like you could use a normal wood screw with a hex head on it or a sheet metel screw with a hex head
