My 2003 GTX DI will only run on Premium. I ran 1 tank of regular when I got it and the ski ran like a pig.

I would run nothing but premium in a DI to be safe.

Any DI '02 or newer can run any octane fuel though. the performacne will be degraded running lower octane but will not harm it.

Thank you guys. It runs rich. So I was thinking about running premium. Today, I thought I would refresh myself with the periodic inspection chart. It says to "adjust oil injection pump" at the 10 hour service. They (Seadoo) did the 10 hour sevice 2 years ago.

This fall it will get the 25 hour service. When I bring it in this fall I will ask them to adj. the oil injection pump again.

Until then I'll run Premium and check my plugs again. They've been very black and allmost fouled. They were fouled earlier in the season and with the new plugs in it ran great. Now not quite as good and they are black and trying to be oily. It does run very good.

So I'll run premium and check with the Seadoo shop about the injectors. Any more thoughts????????

Running premium wont fix the rich looking plugs. Its made to run cooler in high compression engines to stop detonation. Your engine was designed to run regular. only the 2001 had to run 91 and some modded DI's

You may have another issue. have them set your TPS with buds. You may also have a fuel pressure regulator or air regulator issue. The plugs should last quite a while. I would replace them at the begining of the season every year and they should last the whole season on regular 87

every DI i have ever owned or worked on ran slightly rich. annualy plug change and it will be fine. i'm sure the TPS is right on....sounds like the ski has been babied.

I have noted and will have the dealer check these things. Spark plugs I have been checking!

It has not been babied I assure you.

    Thank you, Luke
