    That's how it is with the GPR and the Ultra and the FX's most people use the R&D for chop.

    I know the Riva for being better in calm becuase of being shorter and the R&D better for the "rough stuff" becuase of having a little more length

    i like the riva plate has the grooves on the bottom of the plate which makes the ski track straight better in the choppy water and gives you more bite in the turns. The R&D plate is more flat on the bottom and is better for top speed but can give you a loose feel in the back end. have tryed riva, R&D, and pro-tec plates on my GPs and loved the feel of the riva but than again diferent ski and diferent plate so only time will tell after people have tested them.Hope to get my SHO in the next 2 weeks then start modding
