Did i over fill my bearing buddies??

This is my first ski and trailer, so i'm new to the bearing buddies. I greased mine this weekend. I kept pumping and pumping. The disk with the nipple on it started moving towards me, which i'm assiming means i'm filling the cavity. At one point the grease came out a weep hole in the bottom. So obviously i stopped. Is this ok?? Am i supposed to fill untill it comes out there normally?? Thanks!

Also i'm using high temp synthetic marine grade grease.

true: it will bleed out until the plunger passes the weep hole...

watch it after a tow and check to see where the spring/plunger is at and may give it another shot of grease...
if it`s to overfilled it may come out the back by the seal and spin on the inside of the wheel...

Great thanks!! I must have been really low on grease then. The "plunger" moved damn near an inch before it got to the weep hole!

I was told that there usually isnt much grease in them from the factory.
The longer the drive the further they will push out when the grease heats up.so you dont want them overfilled.

Get yourself the Bearing Buddy Bra. Can't hit the road without your bra on! LOL

These are must-haves for your bearing buddies so you don't sling grease all over your equipment. Also provides another water barrier at launch time. Remember to take them off when you hose down the trailer and keep them off while it dries.

According to the Bearing Buddy Instructions....

You are supposed to fill them until it comes out that hole. Per their instructions.

Keep up on them. I top off after every tow.
