    gas valve -vs- electric

    what are the advantages of gas valve over electric being controled by a Advent cdi
    I am trying to convince myself I need them and was wondering what the guy that run them think
    I am haveing Lowell do a 1300 conversion and need to make up my mind weather or not to keep my stock valves and get Fernando package or get the gas valves and wait a while on the Fercho package

    Jetskis = $$$$ DRAIN

    If that's the choice keep the electric and get Fernando's package. Later when you are tired of the electric valves screwing up - go gas.

    I was wondering the same and after reading a post by pistonwash about adjusting the electric PV's, I decided to keep them until something goes wrong with them.

    I'm with Jay - with that choice, go with Fercho's package first. But definitely get rid of the electric PV's asap. You'll eventually spend lots of money on replacement motors and they'll drive you crazy with inconsistent rpm's.

    GP12-- Theres the saying "Once you go gas youll never go back" but the performance wouldnt really increase from the mechanical valve setup which really wouldnt justify the price. For the best bang for the buck, money would be better spent on a high tech rideplate or pump setup ( without the initial "enterance fees")

    (edit: :P ) ( see below )
