How to Unclip oil rod from carb

I have a polaris sl750 and it is the last thing I need to do before my carb will come out. I think it is called the oil rod but I do not know how to unclip it. It opens and closes, I guess, the oil from entering the carbs' chambers. Please help

Welcome to the Hulk Jason. The oil pump linkage rod is held in place w/ a plastic retainer. To remove the rod, you need to spin the clip portion of the retainer so it unclips from the rod. Then you can pull the rod from the carb.

Thanks alot. I just pulled the backs off of my carb and it looks alright, no rust. I plan on putting the oil restrictor(plate) on, three port fuel pump and rebuilding the carb. I hope this will give it more power.
