    NewB with '07 Ultra... What's the aftermarket?

    So I just bought a 2007 Kawasaki Ultra lx 1500. What is the aftermarket on these and where do you go for parts? Is it easy to squeeze extra power out of these engines or is it pretty minimal? I've been riding pwcs for around 5 years but I've always kept them stock. I have a 1998 Trans Am that I've modded and the potential for GREAT horsepower gains in these cars is huge. Is that the same w/ pwcs or no?? Thanks!

    The UltraX has supercharger and intercooler and is about 10mph faster than the LX.

    The LX is cheaper, has same storage capacity and rough water handling, but is lighter, better fuel economy, can run on less than 90 octane and more reliable with fewer parts to break.

    If max speed is critical, why buy LX and try and make it an X? Not cost effective.

    I cant give up the SC and IC myself. But LX is great machine as is with some distinct advantages.

    thanks. i figured it wouldn't be cost effective since these engines are already making so much power and any extra power you can squeeze out of them won't be significant. unless i added an expensive power-adder (supercharger/turbo) ...does anyone run nitrous??

    It will still respond to some of the things the 250 does. Put a riva plate on it.

    Nitrious isnt a viable option on a recreational ski, you have to prop it up to get max benefit from the extra shot of HP, so when off the bottle it would be a dog ...................

    Put on it :

    Freeflow RIVA
    Air filter
    Anticavitation kit (or you can do a home made part)
    RIVA plate if you don't ride in rough water

    That's all.....

    It's same engine as a stx15f, same mod....

    thanks... what is the homemade part for antivavitation? ...and where do you purchase this stuff?

    riva plate
    2nd box delete u-tube
    delete the airbox-sounds funny but hose clamp a used dryer sheet across the TB opening

    search for timing advance in the 250x section

    57-58mph over 3/4 tank 7700+ rpms in Florida right now

    It is a pig, underpowered and very hard to get any speed out of. Riva plate adds speed but does not adversely affect the ski like it does on the 250X. There just is not enough power to raise the front like the 250 does.
