    trouble removing transom plate

    I'm trying to remove the transom plate on my 2000 gp1200r but for some reason having no luck. Anybody have any tip on how to remove?

    Its glued in there... you just have to remove the 4 nuts front the inside and all the hoses and pry it off (after removing the ride plate, pump, and wear ring)

    I have everything removed from the hull evcept for that plate. I don't wanna pry on it too hard that it will damage the hull. Do u just pry on the tabs that come off the plate? It won't give at all when I pry on those.

    Grab some screwdrivers and slide behind those tabs to put some pressure on it....Heat it up good with a torch and walk away for 10 minutes.

    No luck at the heat n pry method. I'm gunna try to ratchet strap it off tonight. There is only 4 nuts that hold it on right?

    Am I goin too drastic with the ratchet strap idea? I don't wanna crack the hull trying to get this off
