    water in bilge

I found the way water is getting into the bilge of my '98 XPL. There is a 3/16" hole on the right side of the transom nozzle plate, just below the steering cable. No hose is attached to it from inside. Should there be; or, should it be plugged?

There should be a clear vinyl hose from a fitting on the lower edge of the cylinders on back side it goes to the nipple you talk about. Its hard to see on the engine its under the lower pipe mount . I often forget to hook it up when installing the engine.

Thanks. Is that the "low point drain tube"? If so, appears to be missing!
