What kind of water do you ride in mostly? Flat, or chop/rough/flat? I see Miami, but no clue how the water is.
Research it, SKips website has great writeups on the Riva and R&D ride plate. For flat azz water, RIVA I would think.
For a mixture of water, R&D. Riva should yield faster speeds when its flat, but if it gets rough, the guy with the R&D, or stock plate will pass you! I know this first hand.

Rough - if really rough stay stock... if mildly rough you're OK with the R&D

Already have one! Not by Jim though. By far the best I've ran on my boat.
