carb. problems 00 slx 1200
I have a 2000 slx and the front carb that has the accelerater pump on it is actually leaking a little bit from the round cover down on to the reed housing. So where do I start do I need a complete rebuild or maybe a bad check valve or a bad gasket. I am just looking to be pointed in the right direction. I have never done a thing to the carbs, it seems to run fine still. Any help would be great thanks. Thanks

Hi tburn,The round peice you mentioned, sounds like the accelerator pump.(smallest cover, about 1 1/2 inches round)Nothing should leak fuel, all the seals/gaskets are rubber. You need to fix any leak before riding it,or else you will be called tburn.
If you are not comfortable working on the carbs,Randy at Watcon is the best!!
