    power valve question

ok, on my gp1200r, the pin came out of one of my power valves and it wasnt bein grabbed onto to open up the valve. would this cause my loss of speed to go from 65mph, to about 45 mph? cuz thats what happend when i took it out last weekend. i lost my top speed and it wouldnt come back. anyways i put it all back together, cuz the pin was still inside the valve cover. i hope that was the problem. any takes from you pros?

i hope it didnt hit the piston... i would check compression, get a set of waveeaterclips so this doesnt happen again....

piston is fine, put riva heads on the other day, and everything checked out fine. 120psi across all three. but is that what killed my speed?

    what year is it?

i take it these are gps #'s... there is alot of mph's waiting...

best bang for the buck is to send the plate to jim... probably get you 2 mph.... i believe an xlt nozzle will give you a little better handling...
i think your on track... little increase's add up at the end of the season...

im not a big fan of tweaking the ride plate and such. since i live in the detroit metro area, im goin for shear engine muscle. i want to build horsepower, not try to defy friction lol. what do you think about piston and cylinder upgrades?

I would try to maximize the hp you have... or go 1300 ported or bigger, depending on budget, i would get the clips first, then seal the pump... you only have 2 mods the help speed, the plate and raised compression... there is a ton of mods to do. jetworks, leos hole shot kit... have you stepped your sponsons....
