Riva (or any Aftermarket) Sponsons Height

What height are you running your Riva Sponsons at?

I am running mine in the top mount hole, so as LOW AS THEY WILL GO, but I see in most photos people are posting that they have theirs in the middle holes.

I had mine in the middle and it seemed a little too squirrely still, is my mind playing tricks on me? I don't RACE CC and I ride fresh water lakes that get RUFF, they are small and crowded!

    Thanks,
    1IH

I noticed on my RXP the back end would "slide out" during a hard turn in the middle hole and the boat felt squirrely like yours. When I lowered the sponsons this issue went away and the back end stays planted during turns. I feel a little safer with the sponsons as low as they will go.

Thanks for confirming, that is exactly how it felt!

I noticed the same thing, so I mounted them on all my skis as low as the would go.
