Man these are some older post, now days you can make that vx110 into a fuel sipping thrill ride, mine are extra quick and on top end no slouch. My wife and I are Marines, I bought a couple like new 2006 vx110 only 30 hours on them. I first road the skis and was really impressed by the fuel economy. The ski handled great and It is so supper light and nimble, the vx 110 hull is pretty much the same shape as fz models but the vx 110 are lighter than your typical fzr, fxsho, and all other skis, so just put a cold air intake, ride plate, a good 18-22 impeller, and a good after market intake grate, free flow exhaust , after doing all these changes to our vx110, we are able to run as fast as the more powerful luxury skis of all the major brands, supercharged are not. Plus they are at the pumps every Hour for a fill up and we will ride all day on a tank of fuel, so if you want a great ski that will do anything you ask with a grin and sips at fuel the modded Yamaha vx110 is the ultimate summer fun. Thanks

I think you need to stop pushing false information out there. With all of your mods you are barely touching 55MPH. A stock SHO/FZR/FZS is a 67MPH ski. Not to mention acceleration won't come close. Thanks.

I said run as fast and nothing about acceleration, and I'm sorry to burst your bubble but my vx110 ran 53 bone stock, yes I agree it takes more than 6 sec to reach top end but they will run faster that 55 mph, I'm not trying to race anyone and I don't care if you think your balls are bigger than mine because you might have a faster ski, we are old marines both my wife and I and we use this for recreation not to race are act stupid on

But you did come on to a Performance Forum and compared a Volkswagon Beetle to a 944 Porsche.....The Vx 110 are great for their purpose, a low budget family ski or a rental...But to compare them to Fx,FZ Series skis wasnt a smart move....If you read around on here a little bit Not Many folks care about a Family ski or Rental Ski, there are people breaking 100 mph...

Ps.... get a GPS.... the dream o meters lie, those skis are 51-52 stock

I have no idea of real speed huh, let's see I fly a f18 super hornet for the Marines everyday, I think I know what real speed is ' it's you that don't have any idea what real speed is, if you think going 85 mph on a jet ski is real speed you are so wrong, I'm done with this stupid web site there is nothing but disrespect hear, and people that think real speed comes from a jet ski , lol lol lol lol lol lol lol
