I want a new prop for Christmas

I have an Island Racing speed cut 14/20 depitched to a 13/19 that I am spinning at 7250 rpm. Currently I am spinning the piss out of it on holeshot. I am thinking about the Riva 14/21 setback.

Why dont you repitch that one to 14/19?

    You should see an improvement.

    1200 Grate

I was wanting a new prop so that I could go back to having the full blade instead of the speed cut. I think the speed cut worked with the steeper pitch when I had a stage 2 GPR, but now that I am spinning 7250 I was thinking a steeper full blade would be better. But you are right, I should try having it pitched back to a 14/20 before going to a different prop. Carl at Island Racing did the prop almost 2 years ago and he was swamped over the last season, maybe he won't be so busy this winter.

If you're going to shell out money on a new prop, why not just switch over to the '05 pump and Dynafly. You'll end up there, eventually. I'm pissed at myself for buying two Solas Concords, a 14/22 and 15/23 for my BB. Once I dial in the hull setup next spring, I'm switching over to the '05 pump.

Rich, the full bladed solas concord will have a better bite down bottom than the "I-Cut". If you wanted to continue using that prop, opening the leading edge and setting it back would help a little down bottom.

    Carl:
Thanks for replying to my post. A full blade will have better low end bite is exactly what I was thinking. So let me re-phrase my original question.
If I am spinning an I-cut 14/20 depitched to a 13/19 without the washer at 7250 rpm, do you think the 14/21 set back would be to steep. I want to keep the rpms in the 7050-7100 range.
