    **RECTIFIER** placement after.....

    installing 4" air intake.

Where do you mount your RECTIFIER?

I have a driveway full of parts and the tie wrap it to the tank straps that my brain is telling me seems a little iffy.......

    Please help.

    Thanks,
    1IH

Okay so I tie wrapped it to the Battery holder.

Mods, please delete this post if you would like!

My solution was that I bought an '07.

Here is one installed my 07 RXT.. It will work the same on the RXP as well.. I used tie straps and utilized the air duct to keep it cooler!

This is what i did (its in the lower left corner) I just traced the opening in the air box on to a manilla folder and then placed it on the air vent next to the battery, spray painted over to get an outline, then a few minutes with the dremel and a drill.

alright now that is not fair

what is the big idea with the custom place holders.....

and while I am at it, who is renting out the little people to do the work inside the hulls? My arms are a mess, took me 2 hours to figure out I needed to tape the edges so the fiberglass didn't itch me up......TOO LATE!!!! Now I am itching!

Back to your pic, that is a slick install.....I am not patient enough for the paint, dremel, mount, but it looks great. I mounted the rectifier to the battery holder with PVC Tie Wraps 11' Telecomm variety, they are pretty stout. I mounted it with the cooling fins out, but I am a little worried about the heat it takes on or builds up not disipating sufficiently.....anyone have problems with that?

Mine is zip tied mine to the tank straps. It works fine. Straps act as an isolater so no vibrations to cause problems, and air can get to both sides of it. I have the riva relocator that puts it on the battery bracket but have not installed it. No need.

All you need to do is flip the regulator upside down so the heat sink is up and mount in the same location.
